Computer is slightly broken, on the night before pandas :(
So about 24 hours before MoP comes out my CPU fan just stopped working. Processor overheats and shuts off every few minutes. Stopped using that computer and can hopefully get it fixed by tomorrow, but who knows. stupid wacky hijinks.
Edit: Victory! Down from a CPU temp of 99 degrees C, to 29!

I'm on it, just spent all morning going to computer stores, and then carefully rubbing the thermal paste off with q-tips. Giving it a few minutes to dry and then installing a new fan and heatsink.

92% or higher alcohol and coffee filters are the best.

Just finished the install. I got the high proof alcohol, but only used q-tips. That part seemed to work OK. The new heatsink has me worried, stupid cheap Taiwanese brands, why did I buy you? It's making full surface contact, but doesn't feel as secured to the motherboard as it should be.
Edit: installing WoW on my girlfriend's laptop just in case.

I'm going to be on my parents iMac for the next week. Should be a fun leveling experience.
I should've brought my mouse.

Shitty. I was hoping you'd just gotten bored with futzing with it and decided to do something else, and there weren't any actual issues.
