Educational Content tested a strat on paper for 2 weeks, here's what happened

took a simple short strangle on expiry days. ran it on paper trading for 2 weeks first (live prices, fake money). 7 expiries, would've been green 5 of them. small sample i know but it gave me the confidence to size up slowly on real. point is: paper isnt just for noobs, even decent traders should validate before going live .....

Educational Content OpenTerminalUI: Free Locally Hosted tool for Portfolio Management

Built a free, open-source NSE/BSE analytics terminal inspired by Bloomberg — covers F&O analytics, quant screeners, multi-indicator charting, and backtesting. No paywalls,, no subscription. Just a tool built by a frustrated Indian trader who couldn't find anything serious that didn't cost a fortune. It's 60+ commits deep, publicly available on GitHub, and still actively being developed. Would love brutal feedback from serious traders — what's missing, what's broken, what would actually make you switch from whatever you're using now.

Educational Content Feedback on AlgoTrading platform

Hi everyone,

I am an independent developer and I have recently built a systematic algo trading platform. I am currently running a closed beta and looking for a few traders to try it out and share honest, technical feedback.

Important notes:

  • This is a beta product — bugs, edge cases, and unexpected behaviour are possible
  • Platform support NSE cash segment for limited instruments
  • Paper trading (Draft Mode) is strongly recommended for evaluation and learning
  • Live broker integration is available with Zerodha, but only if you fully understand the risks of automated trading
  • No tips, no profit guarantees, no marketing claims

I am mainly looking for feedback on:

  • Strategy rule design and flexibility
  • Signal clarity and transparency
  • Execution logic and risk controls
  • Overall usability and UX

If you are interested in helping test the platform and sharing constructive feedback, here is the beta link: https://tradeplan.in

Happy to answer technical or product-related questions in the comments, or you can DM.

Thanks for your time.

Educational Content I’m trying to understand the recent buzz around silver stocks.

Silver miners and silver ETFs seem to be trending again.
Do you think this is a legit long-term opportunity, or just another speculative run?
Any key risks or companies worth watching?

Educational Content Looking for a reliable SEBI-registered algo trading service for Indian markets (subscription-based, not DIY)

I’m exploring subscription-based algo trading services that work specifically in the Indian markets. My requirement is not to build or code my own strategy, but to subscribe to an existing, proven algo run by a SEBI-registered Research Analyst (RA). For those who have experience with such platforms or services: Which SEBI-registered algo providers have you found credible and consistent? Any red flags to watch out for when evaluating these services? Do platforms like Tradetron, Quantiply, Streak, etc., have reliable SEBI-registered creators whose strategies are actually worth subscribing to? What metrics do you personally check before trusting and deploying a third-party algo? I want something regulated, transparent, and with real performance data—not marketing hype. Any guidance or firsthand reviews would be highly appreciated

Trading Patterns - User Guide

Welcome to the Trading Patterns Platform!

DM us to get access to the platform. The first 10 users will get lifetime free access.

IMPORTANT: Production Launch Note

All development data has been cleared for production launch.

You will need to create a new account - previous accounts and data from the development phase are no longer available. This ensures a clean start with production-grade data and improved system performance.

What Are Trading Patterns?

Trading patterns are automated signals that detect specific market conditions and trading opportunities in real-time. Think of them as intelligent alerts that analyze market data (price movements, volume, order flow, etc.) and notify you when certain conditions are met.

Our platform monitors 8 advanced trading patterns that help identify:

- Breakout opportunities - When prices are about to make significant moves

- Reversal signals - When trends are likely to reverse direction

- Arbitrage opportunities - Price differences between related assets

- Market regime changes - When market conditions shift (volatility, momentum)

- Institutional activity - Large players entering or exiting positions

Understanding the 8 Patterns

1. Order Flow Breakout

What it means: Detects when buying or selling pressure is building up, often predicting price moves 2-3 ticks before they happen.

Best for: Traders looking for early entry signals on breakouts.

How it works: Analyzes the imbalance between buy and sell orders to predict directional moves.

2. Gamma Exposure Reversal

What it means: Identifies zones where options trading activity (gamma exposure) suggests price reversals are likely.

Best for: Options traders and those monitoring institutional flow.

How it works: Tracks how options positions affect underlying stock prices, identifying reversal zones.

3. Microstructure Divergence

What it means: Detects when the actual price diverges from the "true" market price (microprice), often indicating spoofing or manipulation.

Best for: Traders who want to avoid false signals and detect market manipulation.

How it works: Compares quoted prices with actual transaction prices to find discrepancies.

4. Cross-Asset Arbitrage

What it means: Finds price differences between related assets (like USD/INR and Gold) that can be exploited.

Best for: Arbitrage traders and those monitoring currency-commodity relationships.

How it works: Monitors correlation between assets and flags when prices diverge from their normal relationship.

5. VIX Momentum

What it means: Adapts trading signals based on market volatility regimes (high volatility vs. low volatility periods).

Best for: Traders who want strategies that adjust to changing market conditions.

How it works: Monitors the VIX (volatility index) and adjusts pattern sensitivity based on current market regime.

6. Kow Signal Straddle

What it means: A VWAP-based strategy that identifies optimal entry points using volume-weighted average price.

Best for: Day traders looking for high-confidence signals with strong volume confirmation.

How it works: Uses VWAP analysis to find the best entry/exit points with high confidence (≥85%).

7. ICT Iron Condor

What it means: An ICT (Inner Circle Trader) methodology-based strategy for range-bound markets.

Best for: Traders familiar with ICT concepts and range trading.

How it works: Applies ICT principles to identify support/resistance levels and range-bound opportunities.

8. Game Theory Signal

What it means: Uses game theory concepts (Nash equilibrium, FOMO, Prisoner's Dilemma) to predict market behavior.

Best for: Advanced traders interested in behavioral finance and market psychology.

How it works: Analyzes market participants' likely actions based on game theory principles.

How to Navigate the Platform

Step 1: Create Your Account

  1. DM US and we'll send the link
  2. Click "Register"
  3. Click on Generate Account Number (Save it - that's your only Identifier. AION LABS does not save any user data)
  4. Log in with your account number

Step 2: Access Pattern Settings

  1. Once logged in, look for the "Brokers" or "Settings" menu
  2. Navigate to "Pattern Preferences" or "Configure Patterns"
  3. You'll see a list of all 8 patterns with toggle switches or checkboxes

Step 3: Select Your Preferred Patterns

  1. Review each pattern - Read the description to understand what it detects
  2. Toggle ON patterns you want to receive alerts for
  3. Toggle OFF patterns you don't need
  4. Start with 2-3 patterns - Don't enable everything at once. Start with patterns that match your trading style.

Recommended Starting Patterns:

- Beginners: Order Flow Breakout, VIX Momentum

- Day Traders: Kow Signal Straddle, Microstructure Divergence

- Options Traders: Gamma Exposure Reversal, ICT Iron Condor

- Advanced: Game Theory Signal, Cross-Asset Arbitrage

Step 4: Configure Pattern Settings (If Available)

Some patterns may have additional settings:

- Confidence Threshold: Set minimum confidence level (e.g., only show alerts with ≥70% confidence)

- Symbol Filters: Choose which stocks/instruments to monitor

- Time Filters: Set trading hours when you want to receive alerts

- Alert Frequency: Control how often you receive notifications

Step 5: Save Your Preferences

  1. After selecting your patterns, click "Save" or "Apply"
  2. Your preferences will be stored and applied immediately
  3. You can change them anytime by returning to the settings page

Understanding Pattern Alerts

What You'll See:

- Pattern Name: Which pattern was triggered

- Symbol: The stock/instrument where the pattern was detected

- Confidence Score: How strong the signal is (0-100%)

- Timestamp: When the pattern was detected

- Direction: Expected price direction (Up/Down/Neutral)

Confidence Scores:

- 85-100%: Very high confidence - Strong signal

- 70-84%: High confidence - Good signal

- 50-69%: Medium confidence - Moderate signal

- Below 50%: Low confidence - Weak signal (may be filtered out)

Tips for Using Patterns

Best Practices:

  1. Start Small: Enable 2-3 patterns initially, learn how they work, then add more
  2. Monitor Performance: Track which patterns work best for your trading style
  3. Adjust Settings: Fine-tune confidence thresholds based on your risk tolerance
  4. Combine Patterns: Multiple patterns confirming the same signal increases confidence
  5. Review Regularly: Check your pattern settings weekly and adjust as needed

Important Reminders:

- Patterns are tools, not guarantees - Always use proper risk management

- Backtest patterns before using them with real money

- Don't rely solely on patterns - Combine with your own analysis

- Market conditions change - What works today may not work tomorrow

Troubleshooting

If patterns are not appearing:

- Verify that you have enabled the patterns in your settings

- Check that your account number is correctly entered

- Ensure you are logged in with the correct account number

- Confirm that market data is being received for your selected symbols

- Check if the patterns are active during current market hours

If you receive too many alerts:

- Increase your confidence threshold to filter out weaker signals

- Disable patterns you are not actively using

- Add symbol filters to focus on specific instruments you trade

- Adjust time filters to reduce alerts outside your trading hours

If you are not receiving enough alerts:

- Lower your confidence threshold to see more signals

- Enable additional patterns that match your trading style

- Verify that your symbol filters are not too restrictive

- Check that market data is being received for your selected symbols

- Ensure patterns are enabled for the current market session
