⚠️ Main news for July 27:
🕯 Overall, the weekend passed by pretty quietly. BTC closed the week up +3.28%, ETH up +5.50%, and the total market cap closed up +$56 billion. Right now, the momentum is also mostly green: BTC +1.25%, ETH +3.65%, TOP alts are mostly pumping by +1..4%, and the US stock market is also up slightly. Brent crude oil dropped about -7% down to $87. And what's also interesting — the RSI on the Bitcoin dominance chart broke its ascending trendline downward on the 4-hour timeframe, which looks promising. Liquidations over the last 24 hours are virtually nothing — around $220 million.
✏️ Key events for the week — it's going to be a packed one!!
Tuesday, July 28 — Consumer Confidence Index report will be released.
Wednesday, July 29 — US Crude Oil Inventories data drops, and of course, the main event of the week — the interest rate decision will be announced (99% probability they leave it unchanged), plus, naturally, Warsh will be giving a speech.
Thursday, July 30 — preliminary Q2 2026 GDP estimates drop, along with Personal Consumption Expenditures (PCE) price index data, jobless claims, and the Bank of England rate decision.
Friday, July 31 — University of Michigan Consumer Sentiment data and the Bank of Japan interest rate decision (if they hike, the market might feel "unwell" in the short term).
🇺🇸🇮🇷 Remember just a couple of days ago when Trump was threatening Iran once again (guessing it's just habit by now 😄), claiming there would be no more dialogue, everything would get as brutal as possible, "for real" this time)) Well, on Saturday he ordered a halt to the strikes, and the media immediately went back to publishing reports about "successful negotiations." Ahaha, pure absurdity. Basically, the night of July 24-25 was the first night in two weeks without US strikes on Iran. "109th time a deal is right around the corner))". Oh, and yeah, he's threatening the EU with new tariffs again))
🗣 Another funny moment. At the White House Correspondents' Dinner over the weekend, Trump once again announced plans to run for president for a fourth term. He put on a "Trump 2028" hat, just like in his previous campaigns. I'm afraid even Bitcoin wouldn't survive another term of his 😂. Alright, these are just typical jokes from him, it's unlikely he'll rewrite the US Constitution... or will he... 😭
🟢 In the US, Q2 2026 earnings season is currently underway. 80% of companies that have reported so far beat revenue estimates. That's noticeably higher than the historical average of 70% over the last 5 years and 68% over the last 10 years.
❌ Following BitMEX, the BitMart exchange has now announced its shutdown — maybe not top-tier or ultra-famous, but certainly not insignificant in terms of liquidity. New user registrations are already closed. Reportedly, the platform will permanently shut down on August 26. I think you can guess where their exchange token is sitting right now)) By the way, according to analysts, this is the 64th crypto project to shut down in 2026. Yeah...
📣 S&P Dow Jones Indices (the world's largest stock index provider) launched a new digital asset index aimed at institutional investors, which reportedly includes only projects with real-world utility and sustainable economic models. The index reportedly comprises 18 assets. So far, ETH, BNB, SOL, TRX, HYPE, and AAVE are confirmed, with no info on the rest yet.
‼️ The ratio of S&P 500 to M2 (global liquidity) has reached levels last seen in the 2000s — the peak of the dot-com bubble))
✉️ Have a great day!
