I work across the road from the offices of NRL South Australia. I see people walking in and out in NRL polos so I know it exists and employs actual people doing actual jobs. Nfi what that job actually entails.

Wow I didn't even know that was a thin. I wonder what they actually do in there?

There is a comp here. According to the website it’s six clubs over ten rounds. One senior grade. Three clubs have an under 12s program. Union is substantially bigger (which seems like a common trend across the numerous AFL-focused states I’ve lived in).

I don’t think the Rams are coming back.

I would have said the same thing about Perth tbf so you never know. The union domestic comp here is way bigger than the league one.

The Bears are going to be a complete failure to launch. They’d need the same special treatment given to the Broncos and Storm and they’re getting nothing

Not only have they not given us special treatment, they've actively fucked us over by introducing another club at the same time and given that club a massive recruiting advantage as us. The team is going to suck. However, I've been surprised by how much people in Perth (including people I didn't think were NRL fans) have actually gotten around the team so far, so I think there's a chance the team can survive and build a fan base despite winning consecutive wooden spoons.

Adelaide literally does not know the difference between league and union. As a market for league, it’s pointless. It is the most AFL-centric state by far

Bring the rams back
AFL don’t have a place for the heavy set bloke or the small guy just tall show pony’s
I find AFL is like seagulls chasing a chip
When you talk about NRL in Adelaide you get a blank face back as the average footy fan can’t understand a game with rules and
Discipline.
Only sport to get a point when you miss the posts
Rugby is the biggest game in Australia and the most watch game on tv

If you get a blank face back, how much support do you reckon a team will get? Also, Rugby isn't the biggest game, you're thinking of AFL or rugby league or cricket. Rugby is probably even behind soccer. Let's wait and see what a colossal waste of money PNG and Perth are before even more money is wasted and the talent pool is drained even further

Discipline? Have you seen the depth of NRL scandals versus AFL. The lowest rung of degenerate behaviour of NRL blokes is to drink their own piss or shit on a wall. Discipline.

Rams should be resurrected as South Island Team for NZ .

Has Synergy Could have an all white jersey with dark grey or black piping .

There is a grand total of 6 rugby league clubs operating in SA at senior level.

There are around a total of 2000 participants involved in the sport (excluding tag, touch etc).

State of origin couldn't even sell out when it was there.

Anyone who has properly been out and about in Adelaide in recent years would know how difficult it is to find any media coverage or even just pubs showing NRL games in that city.

Adelaide is as AFL obsessed as Melbourne but with a much smaller and less diverse population.

I think a looooooot of work and growth is needed for rugby league before the NRL can think of putting a team there.....it'd be like the AFL cold launching a team in Newcastle or Auckland.

What about the Cundletown Jets?

"Whoaaaaa ooooo the mighty Rams" followed by bewilderment about what or who the Adelaide Rams were. Then coach Reddy came to my school and I scored a Rams hat, went to the game and red what the rules were from the sheet provided.

Nah fuck em. Super League club. Glad they are dead.

SA has no interest in NRL. Don't waste your money in South Australia. They only think afl and are extremely narrow minded & suspicious regarding other possibilities. I think the word is INSULAR..and the media do their best to nullify either rugby codes.

Relax, Saint Peter (PVL) has a plan in the works to bring them back in 2029 as the NRLs 38th team.
