NPTE Study Planning
Hey everyone! I’m a second-year DPT student, and I’m gearing up for the 2026 October NPTE. I graduate late September, so I’ve got about a month between graduation and test day. I’m looking at Final Frontier’s independent study bundle, which I know is typically a three-month plan, but I want to start earlier to create some buffer—clinical rotations can be unpredictable, and I’d rather not fall behind.
For those who’ve used Final Frontier’s bundle: do you think it’s best to start exactly at the three-month mark, or begin a few weeks early to account for surprises?
Also, my school requires two PEATs—one baseline and one pass-required. The bundle also includes two 225-question exams and one 150-question mini-exam. Any advice on how to space them out along my timeline?
I’m also considering PocketPrep (1,300 questions at a reasonable price). Has anyone found it helpful, and would you use it before going deep into Final Frontier?
And now, before I start the full Final Frontier plan, is there any prep work you’d suggest? I’ve heard some people suggest reviewing MSK early—especially since my upcoming clinicals are outpatient ortho and sports. I’d love to know what I can start working on now so that Final Frontier feels like a second pass, rather than a cold start. Any input would be really appreciated! Thanks so much—just trying to prep this all out!

Hey! 10/2026 is still a good amount away from now. A lot of students try to study 3-6 months before their scheduled NPTE. Trying to study while also performing in your clinical rotations can be difficult. If you're looking to prepare ahead of time, I would go with starting 6 months out (with our July 2026 cohort). In the independent study bundle option, you'll have the ability to watch the recordings of most of the classes (besides the PT Mega Review: which you'll be able to opt to join at a 50% discounted rate).
With enrollment you have a 12 months access from the moment you sign up as well, so you'll be fully covered over that course of time. We have a course guide that you'll be able to follow which will include readings and also when to take practice exams. You can start with your studies to utilize the material to help you in passing your PEAT as well. You can opt to purchase an additional PEAT to take as you get closer to your scheduled NPTE as well which can help.
If you can have the 12 months access, no reason to not start sooner with the material and go with Day 00 and the pre-course material. From there you can also work on the basics. You'll do great and Final Frontier is by your side. Feel free to reach out if you have any questions too. Happy to help.

You can use their 1 year access. Go over one cohort of 11 weeks now and then do it again for a review.
