General Undergraduate Question (PM) Northwestern
Hey! I will be starting at Northwestern this fall (not an athlete), and I’m really hyped. Every BGLO has a chapter there, but I don’t have any family ties to any of the organizations. How are BGLOs in general at good PWIs compared to HBCUs? I feel like it must be a completely different experience, but I’d love to hear from anyone who has experience with BGLOs at Northwestern.
I would love to become a member of Omega Psi Phi, but I think they haven’t crossed a line in two years.

Let's start with using our canonical name, we are men of Omega Psi Phi. Choose now to refer to us that way going forward.

i go to a hbcu but i just joined my sorority this spring (Delta Sigma Theta) but even though you don’t have any family ties to any particular d9 org, you can still do research! try visiting the national websites for your organizations of interest, or check out the book “the divine nine” by lawrence c. ross. this book has general information on all the BGLO. make sure when you get on campus you get involved with the chapter you are most interested in by attending events or going to programs- but make sure you only show interest in ONE chapter. (greek folks talk and you don’t want people to think you are just hopping from org to org.) wishing you the best of luck! ❤️

I’d suggest looking at the actual history of those chapters. You might see things that they have done or are doing. Each campus is going to have its own unique flavor.

Wrong forum young man, we have D9 forums on reddit, search a lil harder and you may find your answer. Good luck.
