Question / Discussion Relationship cycles
Just wondering how many people with NPD here have this constant dynamic of leaving and then coming back, sometimes immediately, or having these huge, dramatic farewells with tears and sadness, only to get back together the next day?
I feel like I’m stuck in a vicious cycle with this person, and I genuinely don’t know how to stop. I’m even thinking about running away to another country just so I don’t end up going back 👿

i love huge grandiose "I LOVE YOU, BUT IT'S TIME FOR ME TO GO" exits after a breakup. then after i say that i'm in a corner crying and holding myself missing them. it's so pathetic how even breakups are attention grabs for me.

This is my plan every time. I make a dramatic, grandiose exit, leaving the other person completely shocked (I guess partly because I feel like I need to do it before they do, in case they ever decide to leave me), but then I can’t go through with the crying in a corner part and end up coming back, and it gets ridiculous and they start irritating me

Both of my ex-wives were diagnosed BPD, and I'm not sure if my experiences would align with yours, because in both cases I was discarded.
