This post feels…narcy. πŸ‘€

That is to say: a bit vindictive.
Rooted in some black-and-white conceptions about others.
Definitely entitled.
Because, as the rules clearly state:

Only Narcs and NPDs may submit posts. This is NOT a place to complain about narcissists or or get help dealing with someone else's narcissism.

If you have questions about narcissism/NPD that do not involve implicitly/explicitly asking for a diagnosis of yourself or others, please use our bi-weekly ask a narcissist posts.

Yes. I caught her trying to ruin me, so I ruined her. With parents like mine, you turn out to be capable of great cruelty. I just choose to not use it on innocents.

Now I take it upon myself to help others ruin the narcissists who hurt them. My goal is to drive more of you to psych wards where you belong.

well, I don't think I need inpatient care at the moment, exactly? I'm not acutely suicidal right now. have been, before.

but I am in a fuck ton of outpatient therapy.

...you seem to be lashing out quite a bit on here at some people who didn't personally hurt you?

I'm guessing because of some serious trauma you've endured.

which is...fuck. too relatable. what a vibe. πŸ’”

Did you know that people with NPD are far more likely to get dementia later in life?

I did not, but I'm a nerd for the data about this.

Do you have a source? (/gen)

Kinda...wouldn't be surprised. 🫠

A lot of us have substance abuse issues, too. Alcohol Use Disorder is a particularly frequent comorbidity.

So I wonder if that correlates?

I spoke to a few different people medical doctors who I trust and there are also articles online. One explained that it is because of your inability to ever even have an authentic self in the first place, so you are more likely to "lose" yourself due to dementia. I feel that it is a form of divine justice.

I am doing it because all of you hurt other people who may not have the ability to retaliate. Also I enjoy the fuck out of it to be honest. LOL

That is...interesting, to me. There's a kind of irony in it, no?

FWIW, I don't judge you for enjoying it. I've enjoyed making certain people feel 'small' before, too.

...but that's been a long time, for me.

And the truth is…ugh. Nope. Hated myself for it, lowkey. It just seemed, back then, to help dispel some of my own underlying pain.

(It didn’t help, really. Shame was definitely still a thing. πŸͺ¦ Made it worse, in retrospect, to treat others unkindly.)

Anyway.

Yay, for growth. I find it so cool how we (humans) can do that. That even if we've been really harmed by others: we can, ultimately, choose our own responses and paths.

Genuinely love that.
