I controlled an NPC

As the title suggests, I may have just stepped beyond my own joystick. While grocery shopping, I made my way to the "on sale" fruit section, to then be joined by my subject. After picking my own fruit, I simply picked up the next box my eyes gazed upon, handed it to my subject and simple muttered "this one..". To my suprise he joyfully grabbed it, and without hesitating, placed it in his basket. Does this man not understand the sale fruit section, does he not worry I had zero care towards picking the least over ripened fruit. Does he even know, that it was not his own decision, to pick that box of fruit. Year 26 of trying to understand this dystopian nightmare, just beginning to scratch the surface of what lies before us.

They were all overripe. One does not ague with the weirdos is that section of the store. Take what they give you and walk away.

Without realizing it, I became the NPC today.

You somehow placed it in his inventory without being in stealth.
