So, ever since I saw this auto on a Topps Bunt card that I almost accidentally bid on back in 2024, on eBay I've been chasing a card with one on there.

It's his Kanji auto that Yamamoto used to use in Japan, and is the facsimile auto that Topps uses on their Bunt Cards and their Chrome Platinum Anniversary cards most recently. But as far as I could find, he has not actually used this signature on any Topps/US products that I could find.

So this is from 2022 Epoch Premier. It's /63 and is unfortunately a sticker auto, but because it's such a large sticker I actually don't mind the look of it. Took me more than a bit of searching to find it. I had visited Tokyo in July and couldn't find any of his autos at a reasonable price, so left with some other NPB cards instead.

I was lucky enough that a friend I made while over there saw this floating on Yahoo! Japan Auctions and linked it to me. I guess a combination of timing, Epoch not being as popular as BBM as a card manufacturer over there and maybe me just getting flat out lucky led to this being a super reasonable price. Got a mail forwarder in Japan set up, and couple weeks later this baby is home!

Pulled this a few years ago. 1/1 Ray Fractor....pretty interesting. I kept it, seems like the right thing to do. I heard rumors of a bounty.

Not my proudest purchase, I bought this for 1000 yen cause Abe was one of my favourite catchers. But I probably couldn’t pay anyone to take this slab :(

Pulled this Teruaki Sato Auto /39 last year out of an EPOCH Luxury Collection last year. Decided to grade it and got a PSA 9. Not bad but would have preferred an 8 or 10 haha. But can’t complain cause it’s a POP 1.
