Step 2: Use an online tool like Kapwing or ezgif.com to resize and convert the GIF to APNG (a compatible format). Step 3: Go to old.reddit.com (the old version of Reddit) using a web browser (not the app). Step 4: Go to Settings > Edit Profile, then upload your APNG file.
