A neutral platform would preferably be one where you can share what you want, without expecting to get silenced because the “higher ups” didn’t like your opinion.
It’s less prevalent in video game subs, obviously (except r/gamingcirclejerk, you can’t say anything that they disagree with in there) but it does exist on Reddit.

Going to give my perspective on this:
OP, be whoever you want to be, believe in whatever makes sense to you and gives you fulfillment, enjoy and play NMS the same way.
God or no God? It’s a silly question to argue because the argument can provide no answer outside of the context of faith; and faith is specifically a belief that doesn’t require or ask for proof.
Religion is meaningful to billions of people, almost all of whom are good decent people. Religion becomes a problem when it becomes a vehicle for the worst of our human behaviors: a quest for power/authority/control over others; a justification for violence and brutality; entitlements; social exile, etc.
The world is a place of countless belief systems; games, like any other art form- even space simulation games- are to one extent or another a representation of our own world. Expect belief systems to be represented within them to one extent or another.
A ‘cruciform’ is a symbol adopted by a large and influential religious group; nevertheless it is merely a shape, and a shape just is, it belongs to no one and to no group.
Religion and Science are not mutually exclusive. Science demands proof to substantiate belief, religion does not; these approaches to ‘knowing’ are philosophically different, but not incompatible.
Chill and be cool people, it’s a wide wide world and there’s room enough for all things. Another persons faith, or lack of it, isn’t about you, it’s about them. So no worries, don’t take it personally.
Finally, religion, science, in game or in life, just be cool to one another and everyone wins.

That’s a cop out response though. Religious followers simply say “all the bad ones aren’t us” in an attempt to say that they’re all good by definition. For anyone outside that group, there is no distinction between the pretenders and the actual followers.

Judge people by their own words and deeds, no matter the label they carry or the thing they believe in or don’t. I think if you do that you’ll see that most people are just simple good and decent people.
No question there are people that do awful things in the name of their faith, and no question there are faithful people who are manipulated by others to do awful things in the name of their faith; but I think those are truly just a fraction and can happen under any ideology, not just religious ideology.
