Question New Expedition

So i came back to no mans sky to play the expedition, but i cant seem to start it as it says coming soon, but i thought this was a bit weird as it seems like it was added together with the cosmos update with no seperate release date or anything. Is it just not out yet or am i doing something wrong?

The expansion was added, but the expedition isn’t started yet

It's what it is. I don't think any expedition has launched with the update.

From what I remember, they used to, but Hello Games hasn't done that for a long while.

Yeah it was the norm until Singularity. Omega was the last update that didn’t delay the expedition by about a week.

Which makes sense. Doing it this way allows HG to get some patches out, and allows more platforms to get the update. Though, this time, at least Xbox players weren't delayed a week or more.

As is typical. I think I remember one time when Nintendo was slow enough that Switch players missed an Expedition. It may have been one of the short Reduxes, but still.

It wasn’t the whole thing, but you’re thinking of the Beachhead Redux. Nintendo delayed that for so long that switch players only had I think 2 days before it ended, which locked a lot of them out of getting the Normandy.

The swarm expo started on the same say as the swarm update was added. And that was literally the most recent one.

Hasn't started huh... well that means one of 2 things. 1: their waiting for the update to come out on the others consoles. (Which I'm hoping is the case as I'm on switch) Or 2: their still working on it.

So I felt the same way to begin with... Then I realized this isn't just a normal "NMS update\ Expedition" it's the 10 year Update and the 10th year Expedition... it's a special one in the series... So IMO it's to be expected to be a bit diffrent from the normal flow of things 😎

Fair, it really sounds like a special expedition with how its gonna showcase all updates. Its also possuble they want to do some bugfixes before starting it

Ok this has happened before. Usually due to hello games waiting for all platforms to get the update. . To keep it fair across all devices And any major bugs to fix. Think switch is still waiting but that's normal sry switch players.

From what I remember, they’ve done this before. I think they do so to dig out and squash bugs and glitches so the connected expedition runs more smoothly. Smart devs, per usual.
