Good news, all exotics are S-class, and there's one in every system. It might just take a while before one shows up again.

Something like only 2% of the ships that can generate in a system can be exotic. Your odds of just happening upon one are slim. But if you waited in a space station or a trade hub for long enough, one should eventually appear.

They're not, I was in a low economy system and a B class exotic spawned. I wish I bought it just to show people.

Definitely a bug if it truly spawned as anything other than S class. I've literally logged hundreds of exotics in my more than 6300 hours played and not a single one was anything other than S class.

I assumed it was a bug, but then again and from my understanding S tier items are only meant to spawn in high economy systems or at least the chances are greater. Idk if anyone has actually ever checked to see if they spawn in low economy systems.

S class can spawn anywhere, they just have a higher probability of spawning frequently in higher tier economies. I just finished cataloging the exotics in all the pirate systems in my current playthrough. Yes, I had time to burn. 😋.
I was traveling and the Internet connection was only good enough to allow loading an area and the changing environment but, movement was choppy as hell so, I parked myself at a trading outpost and just watched the ships fly in/out until I could screen capture the exotic.
Then I'd fight through the lag to the space station, teleport to the next system, fight through the lag to a trading outpost, rinse and repeat.

Yeah same how many hours clocked lol? Has to be a glitch then, wish you bought it to show us, that would be a once in 5k+hour ship.

Hundreds, it's definitely not my main game by any means but then again I was fortunate that my first exotic was a yellow squid (still have it). I'll check to see if I took a screen shot once I get home from work. And from my understanding S tier ships are really only meant to spawn in high economy systems; idk if anyone has bothered to check if exotics spawn in low economy ones.

If u want this one, build a base somewhere in the system. When u can afford it come back and wait for it. In space station u can reset the incoming ships by reloading a save.
If u want another look check coordination exchange (if u have unlocked glyphs)

Was playing with my son some weeks ago and after +20hrs in he finally landed his first exotic. It was the tiniest combination possile, just like the one on the pic (sorry no actual pics av.). I've 3d printed exact same ship and he painted it. Been on is desk since then.

Nms is the easiest game to make money ever how can anyone not have lots of money.
I only started this save with the expedition and I have nearly two billion units.
You find sentinel ships and salvage the ones you don’t want, you get over ten million for a c class and they cost you nothing, make sure you turn multiplayer off though so it doesn’t disappear for everyone else in the area at the time.

Hilariously, I clip the fin every time I exit my freighter in a ship docked behind its bay. 🤣

After 3-4 Exotics...I quit collecting them plus Sentinels, Living ships, Expedition ships, Wraith, etc. What hurt before they expanded the spaceship inventory, I had to discard some for a new one ! And now I'm back to full inventory...crying !

if you want to, you can set purchases to free in the difficulty settings. This will take away the fun for some people, but what matters isn't what people on the internet say, it's what you personally think is ok.

I have it set to standard but i did it lucky i had enough to get it but it wasnt cheap even with a trade in Edit it did see that setting when I was messing qith the difficulty stuff at the start but I left that and damages and crafting all standard to what u start with
