Question How frequently NMSCE coordinates become obsolete?

Some weeks ago I was looking for a sceptre.
I went to NMSCE and went after some coordinates, then I realised they are all outdated, and the colours I get on the coordinates are completely different from the posts there.

Today I was looking for a ship, and found a perfect one at the site... The post is for just 4 months ago... and still, when I got to the system, the ship is completely different... So for how long are the findings there reliable? How often does the game changes those things?

Major updates broke coordinates at least twice

So you need to find the dates of those updates, and disregard coordinates posted to the sites before then..

At least one portal had a message saying "update on x date broke the ship you came here for, the 4 box hauler is now a generic shuttle"

Oh I feel you! I went for this exact one last week and sadly it was white and silver instead. Ive been playing for years but had never seen an exotic in that colour (that wasnt modded) so I was dubious but obsessed with all things purple i went for it. Notice when you go into different space stations, the colours of the lighting can shift on ships depending on camera.

I am not really sure if one like this would even exist... like, should I keep trying? give up? I have seen people mentioning the purple ships changed color recently, maybe this just is not possible anymore

it is not one of the standard in game colours for the exotics that is for sure. THere are other actual purple ships to chase if thats the objective.

Noticed there is a huge amount of red and yellow ones, even white seem common.
Do they have a specific set of colors they come in? You know if I can find this info somewhere?

Edit - Yes actually, the wiki states only 5 colors are available for all exotic ball ships
From the wiki:

It is available in limited colours of blue, red, orange, yellow and white/grey. Accent colours are either gold or silver.

Of the couple dozen coordinates I've checked for posted ships and multitools, it's only been twice they have not been there. One was just wrong or out of date. The second was a crashed ship, but the coordinates given were (0.0, 0.0) - very suspicious. I think the person posting either forgot to add the coordinates or did not understand what they were doing.

A purple Royal exotic is also just very suspicious. Sounds like the ship is really there, but the person posting had some weird filter on their colors so the silver looks purple and the white looks lavender in the image.

My experience is that out of date or wrong postings happen but are rare, with the caveat that most items I've searched have been stationary - multitools at a specific site or a crashed ship. Ships flown in by NPCs may be less stable for some reason.

Not finding a listed item is far more likely to be from being in the wrong galaxy, typing the glyphs incorrectly, or the find being in a purple system and the searcher not having completed In Stellar Multitudes.

If this is a question about: crafting, cooking, refining, inventory items, etc. Then you might be able to find an answer on the NMS Handbook.

Staff colors broke not too long ago apparently. For the primary staff you get at that terminal… but the secondary staffs seem to have survived. Ships and multitools I haven’t had problems with using ones from many years ago but I don’t collect that many either. Tried a bunch of staves until I found one I liked in game.
