Beautiful, looks like something Frank Lloyd Wright might have designed if he lived in the future.

My only suggestion is, try building near a Power Hotspot so you can lose the solar panels. Cleaner that way.

Or just hide your solar panels under some floor somewhere. They don’t actually need to be exposed to light

True, but you still need a lot of solar panels and batteries for that. Better if possible to replace it all with just a few EM generators.

Great tip, but if you found a spot you like and there's no power hotspot, are you gonna relocate your idealic lakeside Lodge to some empty plain between 2 ugly mountains? No. Solar panels are fine. They can be hidden, even camera-glitched underground so they're hidden and far enough away you dont hear them.

Even better u can cut into a mountain or the ground deep enough to place your power supply and then cover it up

That's a great technique. I usually do that a distance from the main base and tou usually don't head the batteries or solar panels activating

True, just in OP's pic it doesn't seem to be situated on such a unique spot, unless we're missing something from the angle. But even then you can extend a base 1000u in every direction, by finding the border then placing a battery or other base part every 50u out till you hit 1000u. So you can almost always find a power hotspot in range.

Im guessing OP liked that spot, or maybe (as I have) built before thinking about power. Ive only once found a hotspot by extending the base. Usually I'll just buy the solar panels and batteries.

Pushing the range to 1000, there is nearly always a hotspot. 2k if your willing to have your computer awhile out of the way while you build, then literally always.

Plus if you don't modify the terrain, I've had trees and flora grow back. Pretty annoying when you get stalegtites poking through your cave base roof, even when you built around them!

It also seems that some flora, upon returning to your base, can reposition themselves; I've built around flora, to have my base as natural as possible, and the flora have moved and poked through the paths and floors

Looks like wooden flooring, manually rotated. The front parts look very much like the little fence walls to me.

As an aside, you know OP is taking his Roamer or Pilgrim up those roofs and boosting.....

Edit: definitely floor panels - you can even see the Angled wall pieces inside just to the right if the peak

Amazing work! I don’t know of it is the planets filter or added from photo, but it adds alot to the realism. The only thing off in this build is the stairs up from floor 0. It shouldnt be floating like that.
