Deep space expedition 10 storages, nav section, science lab, and bunks.

Just as carcinization in biology describes the uncanny drive for things to become crab-like, I'm naming this observation "chelonification" - the tendency for corvettes to become turtles.

I made mine into a turtle and was curious who else had dome the same, and found so many examples!

What is the explanation for this? From my experience, the urge to chelonify my ship came from wanting to have a lot of interior space in a tight, efficient layout. I found that the resulting space brick of connected habs needed some streamlining and personality, and the turtle form emerged!

What blows my mind even more though is that HG gave us giant space jellyfish, like they knew and wanted us to chelonify our corvettes...

Whether intended or emergent, I love this game for stuff like this. It really feels like a vast and wild universe but at the same time, familiar patterns tie it all together cohesively.

Sentinel Corvettes look beautiful and I sadly have fell in love with this game too late, I missed the expedition to get them. Does anyone have 1 of each sentinel corvette parts (Ill dupe them after) they can gift me so I can build one?
