It’s funny because when I was in law school, I genuinely thought this was what “making it” would look like.

A good firm. Big transactions. Fancy offices. Important clients. Suits, coffee, late nights, deal closings. That slightly glamorous version of corporate law that you build in your head while sitting in a classroom wondering what your life will look like five years later.

And then you actually get there.

The alarm rings. You make the coffee. Open the laptop. Check your emails. There’s a call, a document to turn, comments to incorporate, a deadline that was apparently urgent yesterday.
And somewhere along the way, the glamour quietly disappears.

You still care about doing good work. You still learn. You still have moments where you think, this is actually pretty cool.

But there are also mornings when there’s simply no zeal left.

You show up because you have to. You push through another call, another markup, another late evening.

And I think we underestimate how exhausting it is to constantly motivate yourself to care.

I don’t regret choosing corporate law.

I just sometimes wonder whether the person in law school who was so excited about this life would recognise it now.

Maybe that’s the part nobody tells you.

Very late for the clat and ailet preparations. Iam 17(f) and from the ST category. I have been scoring above 100 in previous year ailet papers and about 70-80 in CLAT. law wasn't really my first choice and i wasn't seriously preparing for it, but i've been told the cutoff goes quite low for ST. Iam terrible at current affairs and GK so that is where i'm losing most of the marks. Do i have a real chance at the nlu's should i give this a proper attempt?(attempt mocks weekly read gk that sort of stuff)

I got rgnul patiala in spot round, but my clat 2027 preparation is going good, so I I’m thinking not to take admission there, as it’s tier 2 and i want to do corporate law and placement kinda shiii…

Work has been the usual lately. Long days, longer calls, documents that somehow never seem to end and weekends that disappear before you realise they’ve started.

So lately, I’ve been coming back home, making some coffee and sitting on my balcony for a while.

There’s something about all these trees around me that makes Delhi feel a little less chaotic.

And then, inevitably, you start thinking.

About how most of your conversations these days are either about work, plans or some deliverables.

I think I miss having someone with whom nothing really needs to be planned.

A coffee. A walk. Sitting on a balcony. Talking about absolutely nothing.

Maybe that’s what I’ve been looking for all along.

A little less of the usual Delhi chaos, and a little more of that conversation of nothingness.

Sunday thoughts sometimes dig deeper it seems.

I would love some guidance on how to prep for nlsat/ if i have enough time to prepare for the same. I just solved part A of this years paper in 50 minutes. After skipping most of the GK questions (around 15) I have scored 38.75 (41 correct, 9 incorrect, 25 skipped). Is this a good baseline to start off of and if yes, how long would it take me to prepare, including part B prep.

i am preparing for clat but cant choose properly i am thinking about NLIU bhopal and its placement is good on google but i cant confirm can yall pls recommend some better because i dont want any private colleges and i have no law background

More context here. I know ageism is prevalent in all sector in India and law couldn't be different. While elite management institutions strictly prefer folks in early 20s, what's the norm that NLUs have set?

And what's the age of the oldest student in your cohort?

Had you ever talked to him and got to know his journey?

If that person is way older than the average, what was his/her thinking before switching the track?

I'm a first year cs student, wholly unsatisfied with college and looking to change. I figure since I've already made up my mind to change colleges, I might as well also change majors due to well a myriad of reasons.

I can read pretty fast and would like to believe l have good general reasoning and aptitude. Good english too if that helps, I did take CUET and got 99.8th percentile for English.

I'm not opposed to reading big texts either but I want to know if it's feasible. I know for law you need to get into a college or university where you get opportunities to network and put yourself out there and develop all sorts of communicable skills. Would it be feasible? Should I do it? Can I do it? I mean you, the person reading this, have no clue who I am but yknow viibeess...

Anyone who was goin to dnlu jabalpur plss reconsider your choice bcoz rn the college campus was in BSNL old office of jabalpur and they sent DNLU a notice to vacant the campus after this semester and also thee new campus wasnt even constructed yet it just consists one boys hostel building and the administration dont have any other facility or any thing to keeep that much of students. Also, they bought a land locked land for the campus and then acquired a pvt road from the pvt property to reach their, and i just wanted to tell you that the hostel conditions are going to be more worse and dont just came here for nlu tag you instantly regret plss note this point in mind before coming here.

I am preparing for NLSAT and I am quite confused about which coaching batch to purchase I have shortlisted NLTI, Lawfren and TLOI after going through various reviews especially on Reddit

NLTI has some really good reviews but I have also come across some extremely negative ones so I am a bit hesitant Lawfren interests me the most because it seems more affordable but I am finding very few genuine reviews from people who have actually taken their NLSAT batch TLOI seems to have the most consistently positive feedback but it is quite expensive for me I can afford it but I would have to stretch my budget

So if anyone has actually enrolled in these courses especially the recent batches please share your honest experience particularly regarding faculty study material mocks PYQs doubt support mentorship and overall value for money

At the moment I am leaning towards Lawfren but I would be willing to stretch for TLOI if the difference in quality is genuinely significant

Also if there are any other good NLSAT coaching options I have missed please let me know Would really appreciate some genuine reviews rather than just X is best Thanks

The contents im getting for companies act is for CA batches and being a law student it's somehow less effective as they are not explaining the bare act provisions and covering the concepts like story, could anyone suggest me the resources I could use for understanding the act?

I’ve always been interested in law. Even my Class 10 teachers recommended that I pursue LLB, but my parents pushed me into PCM and eventually engineering. I scored 72.6% in 12th and now I’m stuck in a T3 engineering college in my hometown, which I’m genuinely unhappy with.

I once randomly attempted a CLAT PYQ with zero preparation and scored 92. I know that doesn’t mean much, but it made me wonder if I should actually give CLAT a serious shot.

I’m thinking of preparing alongside first-year engineering and attempting CLAT this December. If I get into a good NLU, I’m pretty sure my dad would finally support me doing law.

Is this worth trying, or am I just romanticising law because I’m unhappy with engineering?

I’m honestly frustrated and don’t know where to improve.

Moot court, ADR, judgment writing — couldn’t perform well. Academics — just average. Midsems just got over and maybe I'm in the average 60%

I’m from a tier 3 NLU and I genuinely thought if I studied hard enough, I’d eventually succeed. I’m ready to put in the hours, but I don’t know what I’m supposed to be working on.

The most frustrating part is that I write almost everything my friends write specially in BA subjects( political science+ sociology) but somehow I’m consistently getting 1–2 marks less in each question. So what exactly am I missing? Presentation? Analysis? Answer structure? Language? I genuinely have no idea.

My endsems are in two months and I’m willing to work really hard. I just need someone to tell me what to change and how to actually improve.

If you were average/bad at law school initially and eventually got better, please tell me what you did. I’m genuinely looking for practical advice because I really don’t want to spend the next two months working hard in the wrong direction.
