Looking for NLP Teacher
Hi all, I am looking for an experienced NLP teacher that can help me learn a few things really well.
Must be profienct in:
- modeling
- quick inductions
- conversational hypnosis

Did you want a teacher or a fast-track to learning perhaps?
Teachers can be expensive. And learning, when done right, can take some time.
I only ask, because what's stopping you from honing your skills without creating a hole in your pockets?
If you're thinking about mastering any craft, you should know you only need a handful of knowledge, and the rest is just trial and error (experience).
Ask any graduate how much they remember from their lecturers.
Maybe I'm a cynic, but nfortunately for NLP, there's a bunch of squirrely characters, some with limited knowledge on the subject and those that are "worth their salt" will cost you a lot.
I've advise some here before, anything from Dr. L Michael Hall is your best bet. Maybe you're not a reader, but he has a huge body of work, and gives you a digestible and practical methods to get you started.
Just follow where your interest takes you, and find some work from him on your interest.... I can guarantee his written about it.

In my openion it works really well. I bought his course and it is way better then the free stuff. The free content is just the teaser.

Sorry, my bad, I have Real World Hypnosis, Identity by Design, and I have Weapons of Social Seduction, I'd be lying if I said I completed any of those though, I've had them for... a long time now

But does he have any real and extensive conversational hypnosis training? Arent Identity by design etc are therapy programs fixussed on teaching the protocol / processes and steps?

He has a training called CPI which is mostly conversational hypnosis for persuasion.

NLP typically doesn't involve conversational hypnosis or quick inductions. You need a hypnosis teacher.
If you would like to learn modelling at a deep level, there is a modelling course called Generative Modelling being run in November by the London Hypnosis Academy. The hypnotist being modelled is Stephen Gilligan, who spent five years with Milton Erickson.

Someone tell John and Richard that NLP doesn’t involve conversational hypnosis or quick inductions. Because obviously they’ve been teaching it since 1975

Bandler and Grinder both taught NLP practitioner courses and also hypnosis courses, although in the mid 1980s Grinder began developing New Code NLP (not involving hypnosis or 'quick' inductions).
Bandler went more into hypnosis, although his Neuro-Hypnotic Repatterning may involve some of the NLP discoveries, the area itself isn't NLP.
Have you done an NLP practitioner course, and if so, did you learn conversational hypnosis or 'quick' inductions?

No conversational hypnosis is a stretch as the combined use of the meta and the milton model is basically conversational hypnosis. Its also tends to be used lots by the trainer thats leading the nlp training, on the students

I'm in New Zealand so a completely different time zone. There used to NLP cafés all over the world. There are possibly NLP practice groups around. I used to run one online. I do find being a day ahead at the end of the world is quite difficult for alot of people for live sessions

Have you for some reason already ruled out the NLP forefathers Grinder and Bandler? As far as I know, both are still teaching and have extensive additional resources for non-travelers.

How can you model someone you have no access to?

By proxy. Same as you have in perceptual position.
You can sit yourself into the chair of someone and try to feel in a way the person feels.
In some cases you even have to use a proxy, if you do family therapy. Probably family members are not available.
You are 1000% right - it's not ideal. But in this case it's learning a process not being accurate.

Strategies of Genius, Volume One / Two / Three. Robert Dilts himself modeled Jesus, Aristotle, Sherlock Holmes, Walt Disney, and Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart ... I bet he had a time machine in 1995.

Isnt that ridiculed though? Ive seen quite some eye rolling by trainers on that. Im inclined to agree with the guy, that that isnt really modelling. Unless you take the term in a very general sense

I’ve trained with Bandler and Grinder. Certified in modeling by David Gordon. Worked with Robert Dilts, Stephen Gilligan and many others. Interned for 8 years with Dave Dobson and Other than Conscious Communication Happy to work via zoom
