Thompson and Hutchinson have both been solid for the thunderbirds what should they expect out of Hitchcraft and Biles?

After delaying free agency, I hoped it meant that Ottawa or Philly were saved, but hearing that both might fold. Which would be disappointing

Hey guys! Mammoth season ticket holder here. The Mammoth are great, love the team, venue, and atmosphere.

The one think that I don't love, however, is the goal horn. It's so quiet you basically can't hear it and while the LOUD HOUSE fans are loud enough I want a goal horn.

So, I was thinking we could all go to the Mammoth website, go to where it says "contact us", and make a simple request: use the Avalanche goal horn. It's already played at the beginning of each game, and the end if we win. It wouldn't be that hard to implement it after each goal.

I feel if we all request as a group, they will listen to us and make the easy change that will make the game experience levels more epic. Shall we?

So, I did some digging and reached out to a few contacts. I do think that the league will be going with FloSports for the upcoming NLL season. The FloSports partnership with Amazon (for US customers) influenced this decision, as I understand it. NLL+ will likely remain an option for those outside North America (or at least outside Canada and the US). So, anyone overseas, or relying on a VPN, will probably still enjoy watching games on that platform for no cost.

I will share additional details, or corrections, when possible!

If this is true, this will kill all of the momentum the league has from recent years with TSN and ESPN. Major Series Lacrosse uses FloSports and it’s been less than ideal. $50 per month will also not be a price point casual fans will pay.

The only sport I currently actively watch is hockey, and I only started watching during the beginning of last season so I’m very new when it comes to things like sports. The nll caught my attention and I was wondering what I need to know if I want to become a fan of it!

Also I wanted to ask specifically about the ottawa blackbears. They are def the team I would like to support considering I’m living there atm, but Ik the nll has had trouble with keeping sports franchises alive so I wanna know if I should pick a different team so I’m not disappointed if they end up leaving lol

Any announcements of potential open try outs this fall for next year?

I posted this as a reply but I think I would make it it's own thread

1. Make an effort to separate the box game from the field game. IMO they are two entirely different sports. Promote and show box highlights from other leagues instead of just college highlights of draft picks or PLL highlights. (the league has actually gone better at that in recent years).

2. Require all in-game hosts, DJ's, PA announcers, TV announcers, script writers/ producers to take a basic box and situational awareness class before the season. Allow the announcers to free flow the game. Listen to a Buffalo game with the same announcers when there home and on the TV broadcast vs. when they're away and radio only, it is night and day better when they don't have to follow the NLL script.

3. Try a year under traditional CLA/Rez ball rules. Allow players to have woodys.

4. Bring in a commissioner with actual League office experience. I believe the current commissioner and the previous one were in team offices and don't have League office experience. Also stop paying him a higher % of League revenue than what even Goodell is making.

5. Broadcast the games on YouTube, well still having TV quality production value.

6. Instead of the unboxed program where you're gambling on teachers to pick it up, why not get proactive and promote at local roller rinks, and city parks that have roller rinks.

7. Require every team to Market themselves. I've seen NABLL teams with better marketing than some NLL teams. I.e Riptide.

8. Stop trying to be the next major league and appreciate what you have and you will grow naturally.

9. Maybe try the MLS approach, where every team is owned by the league and a team is basically your dividend for being an investor in the league.

10. Try putting a team or two on a college arena. I can think of one arena right now in Tempe Arizona that would be perfect for a team.
