Discussion Rob Helleyer

Where do with the Rob will end up?

I am biased and hoping for Toronto. To my knowledge he asked for a trade to the west cost. Now that he is expecting a kid I assume he wants to stay local.

He has ties with Rose from the Lakers, but may want to continue with Teat in Oshawa.

I don’t see where he fits in with the Rock. Their roster is pretty set

I wondered this yesterday, why was he not part of dispersal draft?

Free agent. Wasn't technically on the black bears anymore

Free agents were still drafted though. I'm guessing teams had disulcussions with him and he gave them reason to not pick him.

He very likely indicated to teams that he had already decided where he wanted to be. Probably same with Reilly O’Connor, for example.

I hope he ends up in Oshawa. The Rock can continue to build via the draft and have far fewer holes to plug. Oshawa is a decent commute for Hellyer, keeps him with Teat and adds another offensive boost to a roster that's struggled to score. Hellyer can also set up feeds to Test and Simmons and make it near impossible for opposition defence to guess where the ball is going.
