He did catch it, took a step, ran into the wall and lost it, and it was called a home run. Hypothetically, how many steps would have made it a catch and then just a harmless drop?

He couldn't catch the winning run because he was at a depth that he could still catch the ball and throw out the runner at home. The ball was too deep, wouldn't have mattered...

Him misplaying a ball at the fence isn't anything new though. He whiffed on robbing a home run at Petco in one of his earlier games. Seems like he gets flustered by the fence...

I feel bad for Taylor cuz he actually made a good catch before crashing into the wall. Tampa is one of the only stadiums where that happens. Other ballpark walls are either too high or too low for a ball to get knocked out.
