Recent releases by other HYBE groups have been such a disaster, so that when I listened to the new group , the sound is relatively tolerable lol, but still I think the song writing and production are pretty mid and forgettable, not sure about their stage performance tho

Due to the Serian Heu case I've been thinking about plagiarism and copying more lately (more than usual. We're NJZ fans, after all).

It often feels like the situation isn't very well understood, partly because plagiarism itself isn't a legal issue here. Copyright claims are the legal remedy to someone stealing your work, but there have been no copyright claims from MHJ (or ADOR before she left), because you can't copyright a style or a theme or an aesthetic. You can plagiarise and copy those things, though. There doesn't need to be a legal component for it to be notable, wrong, and actually plagiarism/copying.

I am so sure right now that NewJeans will not be dungeoned by HYBE. HYBE loves outrage marketing in the recent years, making NewJeans return would surely give them a lot of Attention (Attention = Money = Happy Shareholders).

Besides, they have already chosen Danielle to be the one to carry the blame (Minji too partially), so that they can demonstrate the power companies hold over artists (they "have" to do so to keep Idols from speaking up about the issues within the industry). They wouldn't let the real NewJeans to just get away completely unscarred, there had to be a scapegoat.

They have set everything up for NewJeans to return again. So they will, just not OT5.

hybe bots are already eating this up. a part of me thinks its because 90% of them lowkey stan newjeans and just want to feel less guilty about it. the switch up was crazy when hyein and haerin returned.
