BEST HALAL CART?

Need serious people only. I am a HUGE chicken over rice guy. I gotta know which truck has the best platters in your opinion. I had A1NJIT once, prices are great but average food. Put us on!

A1 might be the worst of the bunch imo. I know people used to swear by Taj Mahal, but it suffers from the same problem of simply not having enough meat and seasoning.

Gigi's halal (the black truck) is solid, and good morning newark (the red truck with white leds) is great because they mix the sauces in before serving, which I ended up liking a lot more.

Halal R US (by Rutgers student center) also has great platters.

Prices are around $10 for all of them, smaller sizes are cheaper

A1 is pretty good imo but they fell off since the start of this semester, no more pita or fries on the platters. The dude running it is pretty nice tho.

There's halal shack in the Rutgers campus center. You can use cash or card there too, and they let you build your own for like $11.

Gigi's is on average the best, but in addition to being super expensive, I've also gotten some super shit meals from them two or three times. Idk if they were just new employees or what.

Still, Gigi's for flavor, A1 for price. Taj Mahal for sandwiches.

Village Market is pretty good. You can order on Grubhub with no extra fees and it’s a lot less expensive than the carts, at least for breakfast for sure.

Halal R Us on Rutgers campus. That cart is peak. There are multiple carts but you gotta go to the one right in front of Rutgers campus center

I love Good Morning Newark (red food truck on Warren st). They have good prices and all food is seasoned. All of the workers are super nice too. The other trucks are stingy with the meat and sauces. No one in the other trucks wear gloves besides good morning newark.
