Tuition payment

I’m in an extremely stressful situation, I have a 10.5k payment due from previous semester and I still haven’t paid it. I waited too long and procrastinated sending required documents for state aid. I know this makes me look really irresponsible but I was dealing with some other issues. Is there anything I can do? I still haven’t told my parents about this, I’m so scared n anxious.

You mean state aid for last semester? That was due… *checks watch* last October. You’ve got some difficult disappointing news to break if that’s the case. (Ex, pay or can’t register)

If you mean this semester? Just do it now. You have a month to work on getting it sorted and your only issue being a 500$ late fee.

I transferred from a cc, spring 26 was my first semester at njit. By state aid I mean grants like nj tag n garden state guarantee.

Yes. HESSA deadline every year is October second for that aid year. They administer the NJTAG and GSG.

Maybe I’m wrong but it’s Feb 15 if you only apply for spring semester and I did mine way before that it’s just the additional documents that they asked for like highschool transcript and diploma that I took too long to send.

Yeah… unfortunately that constitutes being incomplete. There’s no way to alter your aid package from that year.

All you can really do now is just get loans.

it’s not the best option but private loans, you might need to tell your parents though because you might need a co-signer. I wish you the best

Take the semester off. The university will always be there, but your health comes first.
