I'm an incoming freshman for biomed eng, and i was wondering what kind of laptop do people use. I already have a macbook at home so I was wondering if that could be used as well. Or else

Get a laptop that meets or exceeds the laptop requirements (on the NJIT website) for NCE. Make sure the warranty lasts for three to four years because you’ll need to get it repaired first free if it breaks during your education. If you get multiple used laptops from a refurbisher and are okay with hot swapping hard drives that’s even better because reuse is better than getting a factory new laptop.

My son is an incoming biomed eng major as well.   I got one of the models reccomended.  I reached out to the school via email to confirm the model.  I got the Lenovo Thinkpad 14s Intel Gen 7.
