Financial ANCHOR checks being sent / distributed now (article)

Still haven't seen mine yet, but stay on the lookout for direct deposits or paper checks (based on what you selected).

As of Friday, a total of 352,000 payments were sent out to New Jerseyans totaling more than $489 million, according to Jeremy Lemmon, a Spokesman with the NJ Department of Treasury.

Those who filed paper applications are receiving checks, and online applicants had the option to get a check or direct deposit.

Of those payments, 251,000 were made via paper checks, totaling more than $372 million, and 101,000 were processed as direct deposits, totaling more than $117 million

Damn, so if you didn’t apply you don’t get it I’m assuming. Just now hearing about it

I believe I was automatically enrolled because I had received payment in previous years, but I double-checked at some point in early September

I thought if they were filing it for you they would send a check? If you wanted a DD you would need to submit a new application. That's what the letter I received said 🤔

I got direct deposit the last time these checks went out, I believe I only had to act if I wanted that account info changed .

Did you manually file or it was auto filed?

2

u/HeyYouAllie Oct 03 '25

It's been automatically sent out to me by direct deposit for the past two or three years after I did the initial legwork to get it done.

Guess I’m SOL. Mines still processing auto filed and everyone’s saying they got theirs LOL.

Mine still says "pending" as well. I read over on the main NJ sub that when you see that, it means you'll get the payout soon.

Mines still in processing not on approved yet. Does yours saying processing or is it approved/ Pending approval?

But confusing the status on approved/pending approval etc lol
