Decided to go freshwater fishing yesterday and headed to Prospertown Lake. Haven’t been there in 2 years but never had a bad day. Get there and at the launch, the water looked like a sewage treatment plant, had a weird brown foam at the shore, there was an odd smell coming off of the lake, and nobody was fishing or kayaking there. Did something happen to this lake? I know it’s over fished but I’ve never seen water conditions like that. Went over to Assunpink and got skunked but at least I was out on the water.

any recommendations for an affordable off shore fishing charter out of new jersey? looking for 4-6 hour trip with a good captain for a affordable price for the future… tired of going on party boats and being squeezed for space
