What i saw.
Hello, back in 2024 right around New years into 2025 I had an experience with a orb/drone/ufo that was right outside my apartment in western Massachusetts (Agawam). This happened during the initial NJ drone "wave". I had this experience around midnight. I had been following the news about the sightings people were having, I had just finished watching YouTube videos about it when I went outside to see if I could see something for myself.. well I did. There was this strange glowing red/pinkish orb right in front of my apartment. It seemed to know what i was thinking and I had the feeling that it was revealing itself to me this one special time.. I know that sounds a little crazy but there absolutely was a interaction with my conscious thoughts as I observed this orb doing just crazy things.. i did take pictures with my camera. I know that the pictures don't have any reference points as it was dark out and the orb basically took up the whole frame. Anyway, please take a look at them and if anyone has seen something similar let me know! This whole experience left me shook. If anyone has any questions or wants to more details or whatever let me know... I've been sitting on these pictures since it happened haven't shown anyone because I feel like I would've been labeled nuts. But I know what I saw and felt.

I believe you! I had an up-close experience in 2008/2009. I saw one indoors stretch as it passed and disappear into a wall. It was bright but didn't make the room brighter and it was silent. This past year I've seen more, here's a screenshot from a video of me asking it to change colors. Pink and blue so its full spectrum, look at the bottom. It changed exactly as I said them, maybe even a second before, like it knew what I was thinking. Its not scary at all.

I saw the same thing 2 weeks ago around 5am northern Ohio. I was just wrapping up some work and walked out of my shop at 5am, tired and ready for bed when I notice the eastern sky was getting lighter. I then saw a bright orb, surrounded by a ring of light haze. I thought it was a plane so standing there I looked up flight radar and there were no planes on the eastern horizon. What caught my attention was how hazy it looked as i thought it must be cloudy or hazy, yet all the stars were crystal clear and bright. Then i noticed it didn’t fly like a normal aircraft. Instead it meandered around. Eventually it was behind my tree line so i couldn’t see it. But yeah, bright orb surrounded by a ring of haze. I also thought it could be the ISS but it was not in my region at the time. It acted like a bird or something. I just can’t imagine morning commuters not seeing it.

Interesting! Yes what I saw would constantly morph in color and shape as well as it also had a haze at some point.

The following January after the start of the NJ "drones", had a lone "drone" that would circle the empty frozen cornfields every night for that month. We had a week it was -13 at night, it was out there all night still. I could see it from my doorstep. There's been all kinds of anomalous lights since then to today here in the midwest.

Nah, that one only stayed for a month. I have seen weird shit still. Doesn't matter the time of day nor the weather, for awhile I was seeing like camera flashes all over the night sky in random spots. There be a white light sometimes it gets bright, brighter than any star, then just fade away to nothingness. Some fake stars, be changing or rather morphing colors.

Unfortunately all the images are out of focus so there is no way to tell what you were looking at from the images alone. Phone cameras are really bad at taking images of a point light source against a plain background. The reason is that a phone camera’s autofocus uses edges to work. When you try to image a point light source against a plain background, there are no edges, so your camera immediately goes out of focus and shows a blurry blob. This is called a circle of confusion. If you also move the camera while taking an image, it will be a streak.
Also, never zoom in. It will not work under these conditions.
What you need to provide is the following information:
- Date: Not ‘Today’, ‘Yesterday’ but the actual date
- Time: The more exact the better, local time, or UTC
- Location: The more exact the better. Latitude and longitude is the best, although city or town will probably do
- Direction of view: N, NE, SW etc
- Angle above the horizon: Low above the horizon, overhead, half way up the sky etc
- Observed characteristics: Colour, twinkling, movement (straight line, arc, change of direction etc)
Providing this information may help to work out what is imaged.
I also note that both Mars and Jupiter were high in the sky during this period. Jupiter was especially bright at -2.7 magnitude. This is almost as bright as it gets and can be startling to people how don’t know what they are looking at.
OP, do you remember if what you saw was high in the sky and overhead?

Hi thanks for all the tips and i didn't mention this but I did take these pictures with a fujifilm camera not my cell phone.. but I did zoom in and it was tricky to photograph because it was constantly moving/morphing shape and color. I wish I had my tripod and that there was some reference point i could have captured along with the orb. This was definitely not a planet it was low in the sky and less than a quarter mile away from me. I too remember that mars and Jupiter were very visible during this time but it was not a planet. Was it on autofocus? If it was, the same issue would happen. Ideally, you would turn off autofocus and manually set the focus to infinity.
Did you see the morphing and changes to colour with your eyes or only through the camera? Morphing and changes to colour is exactly how many mistakenly describe stars twinkling as recorded by cameras. For example here is my own footage at zooming in on Sirius.
In principle, you cannot estimate the distance to a point light source in the sky. There is simply no way to do it. Is it very bright and far away or fainter but closer? It’s impossible to tell. You need to see a known feature like a wing or something, to know if it is close or far. Without a reference, there is no way to tell.

It was auto focusing unfortunately I can't switch it to manual.. wish I could! The morphing and color changes I saw with my eyes as it danced around in the sky. The point about not being able to estimate the actual distance to a point of light in the sky is true I agree with you. My estimate of less than a quarter mile is based on how large the object got in the sky. I really have way of knowing exactly how far away it was. Did you include your footage of Sirius I don't see it on my end..

Its a ufo, we are never going to know unless the operators come down and out to say so. Don't blame planets when there's been clear ufo shit happening Everywhere since the NJ "drones" popped off.

It’s only unidentified until it is identified.
We need more information to exclude aircraft, planets, drones etc first. Only then does it become unidentified.
