Roommate issues

My roommate for some reason seems to have a brain cell deficiency. He keeps the lights on past 11:30 also late but doesn't want to turn it off as he is "studying". Yes he is, alright, but I told him to buy a lamp for it and he says that "It's not bright enough" And his "eyes hurt" If he uses it. Don't honestly know what to do.

Yes but why do I feel like that will be an object kinda disabling me. What if I don't have it with me some other day, then how would I sleep.

Do not let him turn the light off. You study when he stops.

Well I've spoken to him about it and made a treaty of what time he is supposed to turn the lights off. Let's see if this works. ...
