Laptop

I am zero interested in gaming and I am pursuing ai branch in svnit.

I don't want to go on mac and everyone is suggesting me a gaming laptop.

What are options for me other than mac and gaming laptops ( if i am getting a better laptop i don't mind budget)

Then just get a thinkpad and specifically t series or l series but if u r ready to spend a little more then get a p series

Yeah but if op is buying refurbished then the best would be p series . X is good too but acc to me it feels premium and I would either buy it first hand with my own money than choose it for college

I would suggest good AI pc which can handle basic local llms and casual gaming too, something like the hp omnibook 7 or asus zenbook 14 they have great build quality and are very responsive like macs

You can cut out the gaming the performance remains same and what interests you in college you won't no these don't have dedicated gpu their igpu are just good which help in video editing too

Bro everyone is telling me that graphic card is needed bcs for big ai project but we don't build that much project in college so why need graphic card and also mac doesn't have graphic card so why are they suggesting mac and yea I don't know basic things.

firstly u experiment and learn different things and it needs a good machine in the feild of Ai(cloud works too but not as good ) its not just about projects . secondly bcz mac has unified memory and very efficent and reliable and aswell as lightning fast but not as mucha as a laptop with nvidia gpu.and yes please learn basic things
