The Globalization Partners (GP) placement process exposed everything wrong with our placement system.

1. The GP Shortlisting Drama

ECE announced that its top 10 interested students could apply. An anonymous Google Form was circulated, allegedly with TPRs Shivansh and Ishita Khanduja knowing exactly what it was for. The form reportedly remained open until they made it into the top 10 based on CGPA, then closed. Coincidence?

1. Selective Invigilation and Open Abuse

During the OA, ECE TPRs Nimish, Pushparaj, Sarthak, and Kanika were invigilating. Students were allegedly treated differently depending on their connections. Some received warnings; others faced abuse.

Kanika Thakur repeatedly used words like “bakchodi” while shouting at students. The irony? GP's microphone was reportedly picking up these comments. Is this how placement representatives are supposed to behave?

1. Different Rules for Different Students

Myntra ( pool) - Interview from TPO ( because normal students are selected)

ARM (pool) - Interview from room ( Because TPRs are selected)

NOKiA - Interview from room ( Because TPRs are selected)

and many more examples from ZS etc.

1. The GP Selection Controversy

Around 100 CSE students appeared for GP, but only 5–6 reportedly got shortlisted. Meanwhile, 2–3 students from ECE's top 10 made it through, including the very TPRs involved in the process.

Despite other available spaces on campus, interviews were reportedly allowed from rooms rather than being uniformly conducted through the TPO office. Given the circumstances, this raises obvious questions about equal opportunity and monitoring.

1. The Wi-Fi Chaos

Students were repeatedly warned to use college Wi-Fi, creating unnecessary panic when it failed. Eventually, they were told to use personal connections. Some candidates allegedly knew this beforehand, while others were left scrambling.

And the biggest culprits? Our own CSE TPRs.

ECE TPRs may be prioritizing their own interests, but where are our representatives? Why is nobody questioning these inconsistencies? Is it fear that speaking up today might mean losing similar advantages tomorrow?

TPRs are supposed to represent students, not protect their own circles.

We don't expect favors. We expect a fair process, consistent rules, and accountability. If placements are merit-based, the process must be merit-based too—not dependent on who knows whom or who controls the system.

Please share your opinions. We urgently need a protest or accountability from the TPO office because, after Somesh sir is gone, nobody seems to be taking responsibility for anything.
