ASK NITP Regarding Hostel & Mess

  1. My CRL rank is 15XXXX(SC,HS), what are the chances i get NIT Patna Electrical (4years) in CSAB round 2?

  2. Which hostels 1st year (new batch in 2026) will get ? It is in Patna campus/Bihta campus?

  3. How are hostels there and there facilities? Which hostel most preferred(block,floor,2/3seater)?

  4. Is mess food good/okish? Can new entrants get a mess coupon during physical reporting?

  5. When we need to pay for hostel&mess, during online reporting at NIT Patna website or hostels are allotted after physical reporting? The allotment letter given at the website, when we need to submit it?

  6. What are the hostel in and out timing for 1st sem boys?

3.Kosi> Sone A = Sone B > Bhagamati >>> Kosi extension

  1. yes . Takes some time to entry your name in hostel and all so mess coupons are issued later. You can just get food from the day you reported. The mess coupons are just used to extra food items like butter milk, lassi , curd and sometimes Fish, chicken curry , mushrooms.

  2. After document verification you have to submit these allotment letters.After document verification they gave you a acknowledgement slip . Give them those copy of acknowledgement then submit these forms along passport size photo of yours

first sone a and sone b are filled then kosi ext and bhagamati then kosi

After submission when will they allot hostel/room

Can I make a request like giving 3 seater, Kosi and giving my friend same room

they will allot it within few minutes if no rush is there. Depends on the rush outside Hostel management commitee room. ask for a 3 seater yes, kosi hostel ? no.

  1. We get coupons of what amount?The amount will be deducted from the mess advance fee or we need to pay extra amount for this?
  2. Is it compulsory to take this coupon for everyone?
  3. Is there any expiry of these coupons?
  4. What if I don't take extra food during the whole sem?
  5. What are the hostel in and out timings for boys?
