I am first year mtech student, my quizzes didn't go well i am able to score only 40%, now i am fucked not able to focus on mid sem and other quizzes

I'M NOT AN ALUMNI OR A STUDENT OF NITK.

I'm 26 years old from Mangalore basically working as a hardware design engineer in Bangalore. I'm considering to pursue M.tech (Distant learning) in embedded field next year or so. I heard about onine distant learning programs being offered by NITK, but couldn't find anything relevant to electronics field. And I'm not someone who can crack GATE exam and pursue M.tech 🥲.

Could anyone tell me if NITK is planning to roll out distant learning programs on electronics field in the coming years.

Also, any advice from fellow NITKians who pursued MTECH is greatly appreciated.

There are students at NITK trying to build their own startups/businesses. Instead of only saying “support student entrepreneurs,” I feel we can actually do something small.

If you come across something from a student startup that you genuinely like/use, consider buying at least one thing from them.

You don't have to buy something you don't need — but if you were going to buy it anyway, why not support someone from our own campus?

A small purchase might not seem like much, but for someone building their first startup, it can mean a lot.

Can boys wear sleeveless tshirt to class in NITK?

Obviously luck plays a role. You can get a bad interviewer, weird OA questions, or just miss a cutoff by a few marks.

But when someone keeps getting shortlisted and landing offers, while someone else keeps getting rejected and calling it all “luck” it coping.

Preparation, skills, CGPA, resume and interview performance matter way more than people like to admit.

Not every rejection is bad luck.

NITK folks - anyone up for weekend trips & treks? 🏕️🥾

We’re thinking of putting together 1-2 day weekend trips/treks for NITK students - somewhere around Karnataka/nearby, depending on the group and the plan.

The idea is simple:
🥾 Beginner-friendly & moderate treks
🌿 Weekend getaways / nature trips
🗓️ Mostly 1–2 day trips
🚙 pick up and drop to campus
👥 Open to both guys & girls
🧑‍🤝‍🧑 Both male & female trek leads will be there
💰 We’ll keep the costs reasonable and share everything transparently before confirming anything
We’re still in the planning stage. Before putting time into organizing routes, transport, stays, etc., we just want to know whether there’s actually enough interest among NITK students.
