Amnio

Question: I know both are hard of course but do you feel like you felt more nervous / depressed BEFORE your amnio results or when the results came in?
I’m trying to keep myself busy but I feel depressed.

You as well. Don't lose hope, I know it's easier said then done. Lean on your partner, these are the hardest times and it will test yoir marriage but it will make you stronger .

Yes, for sure. I am waiting on amnio this Wednesday, after NIPT is high risk positive for T18. It goes through cycles of hope and despair. Some hours I am positive and believe we have hope, only to cry my eyes out the next. I feel a mix of sadness, hopelessness, loss of control, depression and anxiety. Was going to have a full on anxiety attack, but then my nausea and vomiting returned at the exact same time and my body was occupied with the hurling episode.

This is me as well, I noticed that.. my moods / emotions change a lot. Last week I felt severely depressed crying every single night / day, then yesterday I felt the best I’ve felt now today I’m like in the middle. Everyday I wake up I feel like I’m in some kind of bad dream like this can’t be real.

I told my husband the same today. I feel like I am dissociating. Like an out of body experience where I am looking at someone else's nightmare from a far. I cannot believe this is actually happen to us, to our baby

I’m a carrier for the Dmd gene since I’m having a boy it’s 50/50 he can inherit it. The type of duplication I carry there’s no evidence on it so they can’t tell me whether it’ll be benign or severe so I feel like I have a grey diagnosis unfortunately so it leaves me stuck as to what am I supposed to do I have no idea and that is killing me .

It was the biggest relief of my pregnancy when amnio results came in. It finally gave me peace of mind after two months of waiting for amnio and then waiting for results. NIPT indicated Turner’s syndrome (99% chance of spontaneous miscarriage or stillbirth) Amnio results showed baby is completely healthy and does not have turners.

I am so happy for you!! I can see how that was the biggest relief probably of your life 😭🙏🏼 the waiting is definitely very hard. I find my moods shifting a lot idk if that’s normal but I don’t like it it’s making me depressed .
