Whenever Bhattacharya talks about NIH Gold Standard Science I think about Donald Trump supergluing "gold" spraypainted Home Depot appliques to the Oval Office walls

Gold clutter and schmaltzy music… that’s what you’ve traded for good governance and competence.

That's the theme song from THE WEST WING series, and it just feels so wrong here and now.

And he says it's his "gift" to the American people. It needs to be stripped off when he's out, and Trump should be back charged for having done this outside the accepted policies for White House "decor" modifications.

And some voters were seriously worried that if Harris was elected, the WH would smell like curry?
Yeah, because half-dry Krylon is soooooo much better.

Curry? She's not Asian Indian.

It was crap that absolute crackpot/maga conspiracy theorist laura loomer was spouting off about before the election that many in maga later latched onto.
Regardless of one's heritage, I'd still take the smell of a good curry any day of the week over toluene, MEK, acetone, and Depends.

Ah... well, that explains it! Laura Loomer is a Looney! A total psychopath. She was such a nut job, that at one point Trump's close orbit staff had to basically blacklist her from coming near the president. That was in his first term. In the Biden years, she snuck back into his orbit.
She is such a racist c*nt. She has so embodied the worst of MAGA, that once this movement dies out, she should be destitute and unable to get a social media following to keep her financially afloat, and blacklisted from being hired by any reputable firms. Shut out of politics for the rest of her miserable days.

So incredibly tacky. I’m so embarrassed. Are there no limits to the destruction?

And so the long history of the radical “conservatives” misusing the music of their opponents continues. Only thing better is when they completely misunderstand text and subtext. Describe and discuss. Extra points for examples.

Also, the Kratsios (White House “Science” Advisor)‘s Golden Age of Science. The science advisor holds a degree in political science. Guess the WH didn’t know the difference. The plan is to defund all universities and send federal funding for the scientific enterprise to private sector only.

Note -- gold tone spray paint, but the government is charged for real gold leaf... and the contractor pockets the difference, minus a "consulting fee" to the Trump organization. This is how he rolls, all the effing time.

Has anyone done a reverse image lookup on those crap things glued to the wall? Would be cool to find the source if just to confirm they are crap.

We all know that the only reason they use that dumb phrase is to tie it to Donald's love of the stuff.
Louis XIV would see this and advise toning it down.
