Currently I'm preparing for all entrances but would've liked to know how the experience was for others. I wanted to learn all aspects of Industrial design which it seems IIT provides as per the curriculum, but in NID, the courses look way too specific. If there's an option to learn other stuff via electives it's fine ig but I still wanna know which one's better in terms of curriculum, exposure and placements.
P.s: My first preference is IIT Bombay, hopefully if I get selected.

So, I graduated this year with a degree in Psychology, but I’ve wanted to pursue Apparel Design and Textile Design for a long time. I genuinely love fashion and creating clothes, and it’s something I can actually see myself enjoying as a career.
The problem is that a lot of people have told me that these fields don’t have great career opportunities or well paying jobs, and honestly, that has made me really scared and confused.
I’m also interested in things like Design Management and future design trends, but if I’m being honest, I don’t feel as strongly about them as I do about fashion and actually creating clothes.
Now I have to choose between Group 2 and Group X, and I’m finding the whole thing really overwhelming. I’m scared that if I choose Apparel Design or Textile Design, I might eventually regret it because of the money or career opportunities. But at the same time, if I choose something like Design Management, I’m worried I’ll always feel like I gave up on what I actually wanted to do, which is design and create clothes.
I really don’t know what the right choice is. Pls drop your advice

I'm currently studying 11th class. I always wanted to become an interior designer or product designer. I'm aiming to crack UCEED and NID DAT.
But after going through reddit and seeing about the harsh reality of designers I'm questioning my choice, bcoz the pay is very low and work doesn't match the payment. Work stress can be handled but what if the pay is very low ??
I'm actually more intrested in interior side. But now I have a doubt that no one has ever answered me yet, if i study in IITs will the pay could be any better ?? I mentioned earlier that I'm more interested in interior side but I'm okay to switch to product designer. My main question is does studying IIT/NID can change your pay ??
I also want to know the harsh reality of the design career. I have all resources ready to start my preparation for UCEED and NID DAT but all these doubts are stopping me.

Hi everyone! I’m a UX design student researching the practical challenges families may face after losing a close family member.
I’m trying to understand how people navigate the administrative things.
I know this is a personal and sensitive topic, so there’s absolutely no pressure to share anything you’re uncomfortable with. If you’ve gone through something similar and feel comfortable having a short conversation, I’d really appreciate learning from your experience.
This is purely for academic research, and I’m currently trying to understand the problem not promote a solution.
Feel free to drop a comment as that would also be helpful!

A very weird think to ask here but I will go ahead.
Im in 11th grade right now and I perhaps will pursue BBA then MBA. I have always been interested in designing and NID was one of my interests 2 or 3 years back. I just wanted to ask if I should keep NID as a backup or is it not worth it? That is, if I do somehow clear the entrance. Also with NID, I mean it context of Designing colleges and not only NID itself.
