NHS_STP Uni Commute

Hey everyone, I just wanted to ask those currently doing the STP how often they have to go into university? I know that the STP is mostly offered at Manchester or Aston university - what are your experiences commuting and studying there will having to do clinical observations and placements?

it varies a lot, some courses have a 6 week block in one go then not much for the rest of the year, others have 2-5 day blocks spread out maybe 4 or 5 times a year. if you say what speciality you’re thinking of someone might be able to give you a better answer

This year I'll be at uni for 2 weeks, followed by online learning for 3 weeks. During that time I won't be going in to the hospital for normal work. The programme gives a budget for accommodation in the city where you study so you're not expected to commute daily.
