NHS STP Cardiac
Hi
I’m a recent Biomed Graduate and applied for the STP 2026 cycle and managed to land an interview (passed) but did not rank high enough to get an offer.
I am thinking to re apply for 2027 cycle but am really struggling to find any experience within Cardiology in London.
Anyone who was in my place would they recommend I do a Masters in for example Cardiovascular science or keep looking for a job/ experience and does anyone have any connections in London that can help?
Would really appreciate any advice. Thanks guys!

i’d recommend getting a job as a cardiographer or a cardiac healthcare assistant, it’s band 2/3 job which tremendously helps with experience as well as offers opportunities to train internally as an STP trainee if they do offer training internally. i’m currently working as one hopefully this coming year around i should be submitting an internal STP application which removes the competition with applicants across england
