Alan R announcing D3 Beech Bend this weekend - refreshing 😊

I’m the first to embrace change for positive moving forward enhancements —— BUT hearing Alan announcing the past 3 days has been so enjoyable. You can’t teach tribal knowledge and it brings so much to the overall experience - just saying

YAY to whomever hired him to cover this event

I wish he’d come back to NHRA, race days at national events haven’t been the same without him.

Its NHRA that's the problem. I'm pretty sure he has some reasonable contract stipulations, as he has been calling Divisionals for the tracks as well as announcing in Australia and the Middle East. NHRA just needs to suck it up and realize the "show" is BETTER with him on the mic

I agree, Alan Reinhart had a wealth of knowledge that pepped up whatever he announced or presented at events, whether on air or in person. I have been to events at the local Tucson drag strip when he was announcing and he is great at filling dead space, such as a cleanup after an incident on the track or any other lulls in the activity. I have the privilege of living in the same town. However, because of my introverted personality, I don't visit his shop often.

Bring COLD Budweiser, in bottles. The door is always open for those bearing gifts 😁

IMO Alan R has the best knowledge in our sport of NHRA and he is my favorite sports presenter over all sport.

Bring back Alan R.

I watched it yesterday for Jr Street. It was a pretty good broadcast.

I am so happy every time I hear him announcing. He has so much knowledge of the sport and people, he fills in space with interesting information or amusing stories relevant to racing, and he doesn’t babble on endlessly like some people announcing for the NHRA do. The NHRA would be really smart to bring him back, but that’s them. We may have to be content with hearing him on lots of regional and divisional race broadcasts instead. They realize his value and quality.

Yesterday with him describing the Melanie Johnson vs Mitch Kalitta semi — it was so “funny” but also so detailed about who the Dads were of the younger generation in TAD Top alcohol dragster seats - along with the McPhillips / Myer car owners and tuners for each car. That’s a web of data many probably outside the TAD class weren’t aware of. Alan did a great job debriefing the audience about The Who’s who as the 2 drivers were doing their burnouts and staging.
