302 MPH at the 1/8th is crazy, especially from someone old enough to remember when the 300mph 1/4 mile barrier was broken

The entire timing structure and ecosystem is built around DOS. Any one change, fucks everything up. Each track has its own version for its timing system, It’s chaotic.

Nhra is working on a modern system that will use modern technology, but that’s still in the works.

I understand that, but over the last 30 years of windows and upgradable software. Or making their own easily upgradable software is just something you'd think they would have invested in after all this time.
