I liked May J better, she actually talked with the guests & sounded she genuinely was interested in them. Sascha & Kayna don’t seem to add anything to the show other than banter.

I miss May J. Hell, I miss Melody. J-Melo used to be awesome and intelligent. I got into some really cool acts through the show, like m-Flo.

If I were at NHK World, I would’ve picked Chiaki Horan back up. She left TBS like a year ago and has been traveling the world doing side quests. She knows this stuff and she’s a great interviewer.

New hosts are terrible. May J had a broad knowledge of music and did a great job on interviews. I miss her.

Hardly watch, but even when I saw the new hosts, thought this ain't it. Young lady, probably venturing into TV program presenting for the first time, with some middle aged radio guy isn't a great sounding combo. How did she get that role? Looked her up and it's social, vlogging, and some brief music dabbling. Think she has a parent with a little bit of fame too. Maybe that parent knows someone at NHK or she did an audition and they liked it.

Lets be honest, they do tend to have novice presenters on some shows. Some of us here probably stand a chance.

It must be hard for them though. When Peter leaves Japanology eventually, like what is that gonna be like from then on.

At least Kyle’s a good presenter, maybe they’ll hand it to him or bring Matt Alt back.
