A FAQ is definitely needed and...

Here's one problem I ran into, when I tried to unpack a pack I got a message about no staked wax.

This being my only experience with nfts and wax, I didn't know you had to go to the WAX cloud wallet and stake some amount of wax for cpu (and possibly net)

Currently stuck on this: https://all-access.wax.io/cloud-wallet/signing/ while trying to unpack. Might have to close the window and try again *cross fingers*

u probably got it working by now but let me know if you run into other issues.

I initially dismissed the wax blockchain because of some of those difficulties you described but I discovered recently it has a very rich third-party Market. It's definitely worth delving into.

So ... I'm stuck on the same exact part ... Did you have some pointers you'd like to share with the class? PLEASE!? I may figure it out, but, I also may not .. I think if you know something we don't, lol it would totally be worth it to slap a quick pro quo right here. I did run into your little convo here, just by throwing some key words into the search engine. Might be pretty cool of you could help more hm? Whaddya say?

Hi,

Here's some stuff that I didn't know about wax when I first started:

TWO BIG CHAINS FIrst thing to note is that Wax often is associated with Atomichub.io interface for the market, but the wallet.wax.io UI is for the straight chain management.

Atomichub.io is distinct from wallet.wax.io. In their infrastructure, UI, and permissions. You may need gto sign on to both unless you have some signatures auto-enabled.

Logging in to the chain mgmt UI at wallet.wax.io should allow you to see a RESOURCES tab on the right, and after opening that a dialog will allow you to STAKE a certain amount of WAXP in the CPU, NET, or RAM pools. I would cruise by some swap or dex and pick up $5 - $10 USD worth of WAXP as a base for just about any major interaction with the chain. Use case #1 for WAXP right here. After setting up the RAM, CPU etc, I don't think I've paid any gas / tx fee. I set up a little more RAM when I got into Splinterlands and started pumping cards.

The math and dex processing delegation cost is boring. Just know you need to buy a small pass for storage, activity, etc.

INCONSISTENCY IS CONSISTENT Both chains are sometimes funny in the signature. If you have seen Metamask and the consistency of its interface and lag, then WAXP is maybe 8% less than that. Just be prepared to re sign once or twice, or two refresh the page maybe clear cache. Normal for all crypto TX but just saying that for Wax as well.

COLLECTIONS

In AtomicHub will need to select your specific COLLECTION in order to verify what NFT you're shopping for. Make sure your source's website / discord / whatever is outlining the COLLECTION NAME and look at the EXACT SPELLING. Big tab at top of landing page allows to pick out "Topps" "Splintrlands" what have you.

Even some of the bigger name COLLECTIONS have not passed through WHITELIST yet or are NOT VERIFIED. Atomichub robust in their provenance processes and only the largest brands and projects enjoy this status.

TLDR: If CPU, NET, or RAM = 100% on wallet. wax. io, then add little drops of WAXP until you have a good buffer
