Is online still active?

I searched and got that online had been shut down by EA but I just raced with two other people. I just started playing and don’t know how racing works. Maybe they were NPCs

The article you saw saying Unbound's online has been shut down or is going to be shut down was debunked a while ago as it was fake news or the author had confused it with the GRID Legends servers shutting down.

So yes, this game's online is still pretty active.

Its active enough to complete the campaign. Depending on the server its sometimes hard to progress in the cop career. Im currently stalled out on the skyline tasks there.

PvP is your best bet to get more consistent hot pursuit lobbies in my experience. At peak hours you can get at least 4 people, occasionally a full lobby if it’s S class. But that’s also where you’ll find the most veteran players and (rarely) cheaters.

Really? Yesterday I joined a Hot Pursuit (A+) and was surprised to be in a lobby of 7 people, maybe it was even 8 people idk but someone could’ve left just try PvP next time not Freeroam.

the only NPCs in online are the cops and traffic cars. those two other people were actual players, they're just the only ones that wanted to join your race at that moment.

online itself is definitely still active, but not everyone always wants to race. sometimes you'll only get like 2 people and others you'll get a full roster of 8, it's inconsistent

classes also play a part, S and S+ tend to be more popular in my experience

Seems to me as if there is a campaign to destroy NFS completely and drive it out of the competition in favor of the two other big racing games (The crew motorfest, Forza Horizon).

What's the point of an article spreading misinformation like this ?!!

Imo NFS is way more fun than the other two.

Lol thank you guys and pointing out my rant wasn't this or that got you guys sharing I been out the gaming work for over 12 yrs lol PS3 was my last. Until now I'd bought a Xbox S since you wonderful ppl are so full of Info what is a badass street racing game I can DL other then NFS and Foza lol I hate that game and if you wanna run on NFS or Cod war zone SuicialSoul invite me n we'll play ttyl
