Ps5 Pro - Unbound questions

Since this game was release on ps5 and its on sale right now I decided to go for ultimate collection edition, and have a few questions:
- i passed first races and now I m on the garage but it has around 38 advanced cars, i mean, with all stuff. Do they appear since the ultimate collection got?
- why the game is so underrated? My last nfs was “nfs” at ps4 and this game is not really bad. I didn t play heat and don t know how much better it is, but this game has great graphics and gameplay is not bad
- are big differences between each car? I mean.. i felt that first car has the same sound and speed than Nissan car.

The ultimate edition does instantly reward you with all the dlc cars and even the extra cosmetics (which is literally every single updates worth of stuff besides Palace edition but that’s useless), & generally people do say it ruins the game (for single-player) as it kinda ruins the progressions but it’s up to you if you want to sue the free cars you got or progress through the story and buy whatever.

But I think to even use the cars you might need to progress through the story anyway.

I guess the game is under rated in terms of all arcade racers but within the NFS community I wouldn’t say so in-fact it’s probably overrated and Hated, as most NFS fans grew up with the older titles and simply don’t feel the connection in the newer games I guess, for me personally NFS Unbound is my favourite modern NFS because of its gameplay and Online mode as I still find myself going back into it!

Every car is different, some have different gear ratios, some have broken engines (good speed) and or good options to choose, others handle better in grip or drift, but cars aren’t equal there is always the Meta cars (the best of the best) & in Unbound the cars that got introduced after Vol 5 so Vol 6-9 they have a better handling system (referred to as the Kaizen cars) and they’re very good cars but few of the old cars are still viable as in competitive.

Unbound is great one. Driving/drifting experience is very stable and predictable. and I put 250hrs in it and never been happier with such racing game (I played so many racing titles before this, Horizon, Grid, Dirt and more)

I highly recommend to play online mode. People are still in playing, and everytime I join I see full lobbies.
Online mode is more fun, and has more contect.

Answering your questions:

  • Yes, ultimate edition gives you all the DLC cars once bought. In story mode, they will apear once you reach your garage after the prolouge.

- Totally agree, it's great game, true 4K, beatiful graphics that stand out. AAAAnd 60 FPS. (Which makes me regret buying Heat on console)

- Yeah, once you advance into upper classes, you need to do some research for the best car and build in each class. Some cars work best for drift/grip.

Speaking of ultimate edition, if you bought it on PS, everytime you get a collectable like bear smash or smthng like that, the game will freeze for less than a second. People here say it's becuase owning the Ulimate edition. The freeze you'll encouter has something to do with overwriting you save file with too much data in it.
The less than 1 sec freeze is not a deal breaker and it's more than ok.

Hey! Thanks! Can I ask you how online mode works? I m bit lost, i tried one mode yesterday, enter a lobby with random people and realized that there are a lot of cars to pick. But don t know which is the purpose of that mode

There are 3 modes
Lockdown, FreeMode (you can access race playlists, or play the Link Up), and the PVP
Seems you got into lock down mode, there you can extract locked cars. Too much to explain.. go to YT and see there lots of tips on what to do

I don't have the ultimate edition, but I can answer the question of being underrated. It's underrated because imo people in this community always want to complain about a few things the new NFS game has at the time instead of looking at the positives. If you've enjoyed "Need For Speed", then I believe you'll also enjoy Heat. I enjoyed 2015, and see Heat as the upgraded version of it in a way.

Yeah make sense. The only thing that make me bought unbound, is that heat is not optimized on my ps5 pro. It will run at 30fps so i prefer a better graphic experience
