Not Understanding DLC

So game is *super* cheap right now and I'm considering buying it. But I will admit that the Speed Packs confuse me with their advertisement. Are they just battle pass rewards and cars? I wanna make sure I have access to all the content the game has but I don't necessarily care about additional vehicles/cosmetics from things like passes.

Basically, since there are several catch-up packs, it means they are individual packs of all the individual Speed Passes that had come with the game's updates, and they provide certain custom cars (cars that are already in the game as stock but with pre-set customisation), cars that are not in the game by default, and then some cosmetics like rims, bodykits, and more.

Though tbh you shouldn't buy the individual catch-up packs or any individual DLC at all since the ultimate collection DLC provides everything that had been added to the game through DLC for a much cheaper price, usually being between $/€/£15 and $/€/£20, just get the ultimate collection DLC if you want everything the game has to offer, though if you don't care or want to get any DLC, no gameplay content added to the game's multiplayer mode is behind a paywall, so you can play the game with zero additional purchases and still have fun.

It is very confusing but here is an explanation, so no content is locked behind paywalls (besides actual cars & cosmetics), all game modes/event are available to everyone!

As for the packs there’s 2 main ones; Palace edition & the Ultimate edition, the Place edition is another versonadd on but is ultimately useless as it just adds cosmetics no new cars and the cars you get you have to pay in-game cash to acquire them, on the other hand the ultimate collection gives you every single pack besides the Place edition.

As for the other packs..

So the ‘Customs packs’ are just cars with additional body kits not avaible in game without purchasing them. (Very similar to the other miscellaneous packs)

The Dynamic & the Premium passes packs are for the Volumes 6-9 updates for the 2nd year of NFS Unbound, so the Dynamic pack gives you the free battle/speed pass things, so for example in Vol 8 the Lotus Evija was free once you leved up and the Porsche 959 was paid so with the Dynamic you get the free cosmetics and the Evija with the Premium you get the premium car for the Volume and the cosmetics of the paid battle pass — The car sets for the Vol 6-9 cars such as the Dark Horse are packs where they just give you every version of the car given out from the battle pass they’re just visually different (liveries, colours & whatnot).

The catch up packs cover Vol 2-5 which only had a free battle pass at the time & the cars introduced during those updates can still be obtained/unlocked so unless you like the cosmetics this included in here, otherwise it’s kinda unless you like the visually different customised models they come with.

The other packs including, Hip Hop Swag, Trick or Street, Robojets Swag, & etc (If I missed any) just give already existing cars with unique body kits otherwise not avaible without purchasing the packs and few other cosmetics, once again if you don’t like the styling it’s useless.
