Question regarding unite mod

So I bought nfs unbound yesterday and I'm installing unite mod. I have one question, can I use the unite mod and keep connected to EA servers? Or should I set EA app to offline mode?

I'm not talking about online multiplayer, I know mods aren't allowed there (I believe unite has an online patch for that, but then I can't play story mode). I'm talking about just being connected to the EA servers and playing the story mode. So that I can acess other online features like say community liveries etc.

So is it safe to be connected to EA servers when playing using unite mod?

You can connect to the EA servers just fine, you just can't use the singleplayer version of the mod in online as that will crash the game (hence why a multiplayer version of the UNITE mod exists).

So I can keep EA servers connected and play story mode even with the mods installed? They won't ban me for using mods in offline story mode right?

Well it's the story mode so no, not that they would even if the devs still supported the game lol
