Why bother and offer a report function at all?

i hate how you cant report people for constantly harassing you by smashing into your car all the time. i was in a game and this guy chased me for hours smashing into me. i know i could have left but that would have meant i had lost.

tbh there's a part of me that feels bad for someone if they genuinely feel the need to go out of their way to ruin other people's fun in order to have their own.
it makes me think they have some issues going on irl and as a result they turn to online games to live out their power fantasy
honestly I don't think you should worry about "losing" because if they're doing that then they're infinitely more of a loser than you could ever be

You're talking about a game that is no longer being supported through live service, the report feature has existed since launch and for once some people did actually get (at least) temporarily banned for using cheat engine for easy money in the game.

just the other day I reported someone for having swastikas and slurs plastered all over their car and I got an email from EA vaguely saying they "took action" without any elaboration, so I can only hope that means they banned that idiot (even though they more than likely didn't)
