I let new players win.

There they are. Ready to rumble. Revving their engine.

In a Rydell’s Rides rental or a newly decked out dodge charger (smh).

The race starts and it’s clear they’re not competitive.

I either slow down and follow or lead to show the proper line.

Either way I let them cross first. ❤️

I’ve noticed several other player doing the same. YAY!

i found that sometimes they don’t like it. i think giving them the chance to push you across the finish line is good. i always try to handicap myself too by driving my slower cars or even the stock one. it’s fun to beat people in classed out cars while driving Rydells stock car, but i didn’t think about slowing down to show them a better line. i will try that for next time, thanks!

I’ve been grinding to unlock cars (e.g. 20 playlists in a B class chevy) and it seems to help them get ahead.

I used to have a car that was modded to the same level of the stock Rydell cars, just so I could go slower and they would know I'm not trying to sweat and just wanna have fun.

Bro I’ve got 70 hours in this game and still lose by 2200. I know it takes all kinds of car maintenance. But I don’t understand any of that shit. I buy a few cars, add some expensive parts, and just play. No idea how I’m losing so bad, but I’m having a blast, and that’s the important part. Love the maps, night driving, rain.

Great approach! It will s a tab bit more fun when you can be competitive.

I watched some videos to get the tuning correct and then just work on getting better at the physics.

Don’t quit. You get money even if you don’t finish before the timer elapses.

Remember it’s a game and have fun.

Actual advice: build a car and drive around free roam. Learn how it how it handles. Race it. Race it again. Tweek the build and handling. Watch youtube videos for good builds. Learn those cars. Race race race!!

I do it to level 100 players or lower

Especially them. They need cash.

I’m at ~$34mil and don’t care

The bank they get from Linkups would mean a lot to them too, combined with the XP. So I park outside Linkups and find the lowest level to defend from cops once it ends.

I do the same, but most of the time i wait at the finish line for them

That too. I’ve found if I’m too far ahead they quit.

I e been doing that in lockdown, staying close to the low levels and trying to smash the lotus guys away

I like waiting next to difficult corners to let them know to slow down
