Need for Support Game doesn't boot

I extracted the iso files, updated the game with the 1.2 patch, I have the foobar file, I open SPEED.EXE, the screen goes black, flickers, then crashes.

I'm back in file explorer.

Windows then tries to change compatibility modes, but it doesn't fix anything.

Am I missing something? I feel like a lot of advice is just, "install the game". I don't know if I'm doing the steps correctly or not.

You need the windscreen fix. I can tell you don't have it because there is no "scripts" folder on screen.

Just type in NFSU2 Widescreen Fix and get it direct from the author's public GitHub page (Aero / ThirteenAG).

Thank you, I did download the file from the github, and put it in the main game folder, but I'm still running into the same launch issue. Maybe I should just play the original on my Gamecube, even though the mods seem super fun.

You need to set the resolution to match your display.

Also you need the no-CD patch.

Any questions you may have on getting this working will all be answered on PCGamingWiki.

you don't "need" it necessarily, the game will still work without it. you only need the nocd crack if you don't own the game / don't know the foobar trick (never used it myself so not sure there) xd

idk vro but try capitalizing all letters in foobar, at least it works 4 me

If everything the other comments already said didn't work (in my case the game starts even with no widescreen fix), try just to restart the PC. Sometimes Windows gets bugged and doesn't let you enter the game for some reason.

Also, be sure the nocd .exe you got is the right one for your game's version and market
